In connection with the use of our services, you may be required to create a profile for some apps published by Digit Grove. The information provided by you will not be shared or disclosed to anyone under any circumstances. For apps that work entirely offline, all the information you provide while creating a profile is stored locally on your device only, and we do not collect, store or back it up. For apps that offer optional account creation, cloud backup or data sync, the information you choose to save is stored securely in the cloud — either in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) or in your own Google Drive, depending on the app — as described in the "Cloud Data Storage & Encryption" and "Data Security & Encryption" sections below.
We will not disclose/share/rent any information about individual users to third parties.
We do not claim ownership on any contents created by the application users. You acknowledge that clearing application data or uninstalling this application from your device or losing your device or device problem could result in loss of all data stored locally on the device. For apps that offer cloud backup or sync, your data saved to your account can be restored after re-installing and signing in. You are responsible for backing up your data.
The data we handle depends on which app you use and which features you turn on. We keep it to the minimum needed for the app to work, and we never sell or rent it.
For utility apps such as Unit Converter, we do not collect personal data beyond (a) the Google account you optionally use for cloud backup and (b) the advertising identifier used to show ads in the free version. Your conversion history, favourites, custom units and notes are stored locally on your device — and, only if you turn on backup, in your own Google Drive.
For apps that offer an online account or profile, we store the account identifier (such as your email address) and the in-app content you choose to save, as described in the "Cloud Data Storage & Encryption" section below.
Some of our applications offer optional features such as creating an account, backing up your data, or syncing your data across multiple devices. Optional cloud backup works in one of two ways, depending on the app: (a) through Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore / Realtime Database / Firebase Authentication), or (b) by storing a backup in your own Google Drive — in the app's private, hidden app-data folder — after you sign in with Google. These services are operated by Google LLC.
For apps that back up to Google Drive, your data stays inside your own Google account; we do not store it on our servers, and the app can access only its own hidden folder, never your other files. Data held in either backend is encrypted at rest by Google. We use these services strictly to provide the backup and sync features you asked for — we do not sell, rent or trade your data, and the categories of data involved are limited to what the app needs to function (such as your account identifier and the in-app content you choose to save). You can delete your backup at any time from within the app (for example, Cloud Sync → Delete Backup) or via our data-deletion form.
We take the security of the data you entrust to us seriously and rely on the strong, industry-standard protections built into the Google cloud services we use (Google Firebase and Google Drive):
• Encryption in transit: All communication between your device and the cloud backend (Google Firebase or Google Drive) is protected with industry-standard TLS (HTTPS) encryption, so your data is encrypted while it travels over the network.
• Encryption at rest: Data stored in the cloud — whether in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore / Realtime Database / Authentication) or in your own Google Drive app-data folder — is automatically encrypted at rest by Google using AES-256 encryption before it is written to disk.
• Restricted access: For apps that use Firebase, access to your stored data is controlled by Firebase Security Rules together with Firebase Authentication, so your records can be read or modified only through your own authenticated account. For apps that back up to Google Drive, the backup lives in the app's own private, hidden app-data folder inside your Google account, and the app can never reach your other Drive files. Our team does not access your personal records except where strictly necessary to provide support that you have requested, or where required to comply with the law.
• No third-party sharing: Your encrypted data is never shared with, sold to, or disclosed to any third party, except as inherently required for Google to provide the underlying cloud infrastructure, or where we are legally obliged to do so.
You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all of the associated data linked to it — whether held in Google Firebase or backed up to your own Google Drive. To make a request, please use our data deletion request form:
Request Account & Data Deletion
Once we receive and verify your request, we will permanently delete your account and the associated data from our systems. Where a backup is kept in your own Google Drive, you can also remove it yourself at any time (for example, Cloud Sync → Delete Backup in the app, or directly from your Google Drive). Data stored only locally on your device is removed automatically when you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. You may also contact us directly at support@digitgrove.com for any data or privacy request.
